Kirkwood Community College has over 15000 students enrolled and attending the 2008-2009 school year. Kirkwood is actually Iowa's third largest college, lower in enrollement, only to the University Of Iowa and Iowa State University. Kirkwood offers educational programs and degrees in many diverse programs; from Arts and Humanity to Health Sciences, General Ed.Agriculture,Industrial Technology, wich includes all Skilled Trades, and literally hundreds more. Kirkwood offers programs from two tear A.A.S.,to nine month Certificate of Completion degree's. Kirkwood also works in conjunction with many four year Universitys, to offer a large amount of transferable credits. K.C.C. also offers a Joint Trades A.A.S. degree, that gives skilled tradesman an oppurtunity to earn a degree through Continuing Education that gives the individual the opportunity to apply segments of thier apprenticeship as college credits, these classes are offered both in the on campus, in class environment, and any place,any time setting through on-line, at home opportunitys.
